Just draw the neck shorter and the stomach taller if they're wearing a jacket.

If they aren't, just turn the shoulders a bit upward, put the hands in the air and have their eyes closed.

The man shivered. His hair was tossed about his head, unwashed for weeks. His eyes stared distantly at the cake, which lied in his shaking hands. Fear and horror were painted clearly on his unshaven face.

The fork was already tossed to the far corer of the glass walled room. But the man didn’t care. He continued to stare at the cake. Vanilla icing and chocolate sprinkles glazed the top of the dessert he clutched onto. The small slice was topped off with a perfectly red cherry.

“It’s a lie,” he mumbled. The doctor standing silent in the corner of the prison like room took a cautious step forward.

“Pardon?” she said, her voice quivering in fear from when the man hurled the fork across the chamber.

“A lie,” the man repeated.

“Speak up! 239, speak up!” the doctor ordered. The man remained silent. He began to poke the cake with his index finger.

“It’s a lie!” the man laughed. “All a lie! She promised me, but she lied… didn’t she?” The man twitched angrily.

“What’s a lie? Who promised you what?” the doctor asked, clinging onto her metal clip board tighter to her chest. The man laughed again.

The doctor leaped backwards and screamed as the man began throwing bits of the cake around hysterically. Immediately, five people burst into the glass room. The woman held her clipboard up to defend herself from the flying chunks of cake.

“It’s a lie! All A lie! She lied!” The man screamed as two men in lap coats began pinning him down and giving him shots.

The woman yelled back, “Who? Who, what? Tell me!”

The man smiled and said in a quivering voice, “The voice… GLaD…” The man began to close his eyes as the tranquilizers began to take effect.

“What?” The doctor yelled frantically. She was begging for the answer. This wasn’t the first time the test subjects began acting like this. What was going on? They all freaked out when they gave them cake. What was the tie between The Enrichment Center and cake? “What is a lie?” The woman yelled again.

“The cake…” the man finally managed to whisper.

“The cake?” the doctor repeated. How are GLaDOS and a fear of cake related? What did she lie about? GLaDOS couldn’t think on her own… could she? “Dr. Marcho, cheek GLaDOS. Look for viruses or system errors!” she called as she jogged out of the glass room.
