Guys... my dream...

I have been offered a chance. A chance to make one of my dream life jobs. A friend of mine. I was talking to him. We got into a conversation about computers. He told me he works for Microsoft as a product tester. I started talking about video games. In five years. He is going to get me a lunch meeting with two of his friends. These two friends both could make my dreams come true. One of them works for Activision in Toronto. The other works for bungie studios in Vancouver. He thinks I should be a video game developer. Professional. Paid. Top of a ladder. That is my dream. I want to be offered that job. I want to accept that job. This is real. A friend I haven't seen for a year. Talked to him today.

I'm all for it.... Except, How are they gonna remember in FIVE YEARS. Bungie or God smite me if I say micro$oft were to go out of business.... WHat about that?

I meet with this person at least once a year guaranteed. I also swapped emails with him.

You do realize how hard Video Game developing is?

Modeling is difficult.

Programming is flat out annoying and hard to remember everything

Scripting & Hex are impossible

etc; basically it's hard and you have to have lots of experience (Unless your a tester)

Be a designer. That's the easiest thing to do when making a video game

Either that or do character modelling or texturing. Sure it's harder but it's more fulfilling.

I'm gonna be a Humongous Mecha Engineer and Pilot. Already got half of the studies I would need out of the way, (Physics, Algebra, Mechanical Engineering (Major) Electrical Engineering (Minor) Computer Engineering (For the hell of it))

I've been surfing the net, and I know how to: give someone diaphram hemorrhaging (internal bleeding around the lung area), pop a nerve in somebody's brain, make a toxin that could stop someone's heart in less than 3 minutes, use forensic evidence to determine cause and time of death, hotwire a car, pick a door (who can't do this?), and several military sharpshooting techniques. So when you see a story on the local news about a mercenary using these techniques to destroy terrorists, then you'll know that that's me.
