The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time
Widely concidered the greatest game of all time - The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was the first ever 3D Legend Of Zelda game. It sold 7.6 million of copies and had one a sequel - Majora's Mask.
Ocarina of Time was one of the first games I ever played. From finding my first sword to playing ping-pong with Gannondorf - I loved it.
Games now a days just arn't as origional as Ocarina of Time was. The main storyline was 8 temples long and they still had time for sidequests. Ocarina of Time was solid gold.
So here is where we pay tribute, and disuss, The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time
I loved this game SOOOOOOO much.
Although, as much as it was great, I still consider Halo 3 the best. I don't know why I'm so attached to the game, but Halo 3 just grabbed me, shook me and never stopped.

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time
Halo 3 was a decent game and, I'll amit, it was one of the three games that convinced me to get an XBox (The others were Call Of Duty: World At War and Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts 'N' Bolts).
However, despite being a good game, I still think its.... How do I put this... Much ado about nothing.
The game was good, yes, but I don't think its good enough to be concidered "Game Of The Decade".
I have played multiplayer online, but that still didn't convice me.
I didn't like the weapons a lot. I never found one which I felt at home with, unlike with Call Of Duty where I could feel the scoped mosin nagant in my hands through the controler.
I did, however, like the vehicles. The Ghost was a particular favoraite of mine and the vehicles were something Call Of Duty lacked.
I still think Halo is a good game, but not the best game.
I actually got offended when my friend said that Halo 3 was "Better than Super Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time, no doubt about it".
Perhaps I see the revolutionary side of things, or maybe its the Nostalgia talking.

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time
Although I agree that Ocarina of Time is a great game, I also believe Majora's Mask and Wind Waker to be better.
While Ocarina of Time took a great leap, as it was the first 3D Zelda game, this is also a reason why people consider it to be better. It took what they had come to love about Zelda, and put it into a large, three dimensional area. But that's why some like it more. Because it was the first.
Majora's Mask took that and made it better, with a better story, more sidequests, and a variety in the gameplay, considering all four versions of Link. Of course, people look down upon it because of the time limit, I thought this improved upon the game. It added a challenge to those who could handle it, but for those who wanted to make it easier, they could just slow down time with the Ocarina.
And Wind Waker. This is my favorite Gamecube game for a few reasons. It turned the dark theme of the series and turned it into a bright, cheery wonderland. The Great Sea is huge; there are many different islands to chart and explore. The art style is absolutely wonderful. The cartoony characters always make me laugh, and the facial expressions that Link showed were great for it's time, and it's still wonderful to watch his eyes move about the room. The gameplay is very similar to the games of the previous generation; this isn't necessarily a bad thing. I love traveling between islands in the giant playground that is the over-world. And not to mention the story, which I simply adore. There are plot-twist running rampant through the whole game, and they all work.
So, in retrospect, I like the gloomiest game of the series and I also like the cheeriest game of the series. Ocarina of Time just falls slightly after those two on my list.

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time
Ocarina of Time was quite fun, but I agree with Silver, it was not deserving of Game of the Year.
EDIT: Wow, that was lame. I saw "Game of the Decade" and "not deserving". I didn't even read the Halo part. Please excuse my stupidity.

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time
Majora's Mask is my favoraite game.
With Ocarina of Time, you have to stop Gannondorf from taking over the world.
In Majora's Mask, you have to stop Skull Kid from usinging the moon to kill every single person.
Majora's Mask is much, much darker than Ocarina of Time.
Ganondorf was evil becasue he wated power.
Skull Kid didn't have a motive. He was just plain evil. He wanted to kill every living creature.
I like the fact that, upon going back on time, all your good deeds are forgotten. All those people you helped are back to there sad lifes. The people you saved end up dying anyway.
The fact that you have to use the Song of Healing to help people let go of life is also very powerful. Then to become them using there mask - its sick.
I really, really hope they make another Majora's Mask!

I respectfully disagree. I think A link to the past was the greatest!!! I first played the game when I was about 7-8 years old. The first time I completed it was about 3 months ago 0.o

It was awesome. Best game ever. Better that Fire Emblem and Fallout 3 combined! WAY better than any of the Halo's IMO.

Fallout 3 was great for weeks!
Halo 3 was okay, but a lot of hype about nothing.
Halo 3: ODST was surprisingly good.
Ocarina Of Time was, and still is, one of Nintendo's best games ever.

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time
Halo 3 was better than odst. But thats because odst is an expansion, and not intended to be a lasting game.
OoT was one of the greatest games ever. if not for the gameplay, for the music.

Yes, I believe that is what she said, let me simplify it for you.

Yes, she said it, she claims there is a game better than halo.
May I remind you that I am INCREDIBLY BIAS when it comes to Halo, therefore there cannot be anything better.
PERIOD.
END OF STORY.

Are you saying that Halo is better thank Pikmin?
Halo - 6 hours of offline gameplay.
Pikmin 2 - 26+ hours of offline gameplay.

I hated every bit of Pikmin one.
Pikmin two was actually really good, but still not comparable to Halo 3.
And where Halo 3 shines really is in it's online play. Although I love the campaign just as much (I <3 teh story)
