All about you?
How about a category for all those facts about you others may want to know that you forgot to put in your intro? We post threads asking a question (example, what's your religion, what's you favorite author") and other things we can't get from looking at someone's profile. Thoughts?

Re: All about you?
Well it sort of is but again kinda a forum where you can say stuff you probably wouldn't in your intro, (for example, who would say there height, hair color, religion, favorite entertainment, in thire bio)knife in a box wrote:This is pretty much the Introduction section
Also, I said bio in my OP instead of intro, and put bio again while writing this

Re: All about you?
A neat idea but an unnecessary one.
If you'd like to do this feel free to make a thread in the off-topic section.
Also, religion really isn't something I'd like us to discuss on this forum. Please check the forum guidelines.

I was just using religion as an example, as I have learned one thing from forums, is political/religious lead to argumentsAlex wrote:A neat idea but an unnecessary one.

So you HAVE been reading the guidelines
Although I'm sure you copied that from the rules, it's true that they often do lead to hostile arguments.

Actually I'm just going by common sense and some of the rules of the Internet.Alex wrote:SpeedyBlueDude wrote:I was just using religion as an example, as I have learned one thing from forums, is political/religious lead to argumentsAlex wrote:A neat idea but an unnecessary one.

Re: All about you?
Despite Religion being a banned topic, I'm going to go ahead and post my thoughts about Religion.
If you have a Religion and do not want to hear my opinion, please do not open the spoiler tag.

- Spoiler:
I've found flaws in every Religion I've ever heard of. I feel that a Religion with even a single flaw in it is wrong. Thats just what I think. I am an Athiest. I do not have answers to how we were created and what happens when we die, but I do not believe a man made it happen.
Having no Religion is terrible because without one - I can't be safe from my biggest fear.
What is my biggest fear? Death.
I am terrified of dying. I have had nights where the thought of death creeps into my mind and I can not sleep.
Death is my biggest fear because there is nothing preventing it. I don't like insects, but I can avoid them and stop them. There is no avoiding death and no stopping it.
Without a Religion, I don't believe in "Heaven" or any form of afterlife. When I wounder what happens after death, I think about how it would feel to just stop existing. I don't breath, I don't see and I don't think. If you ask me, thats worse than "Hell".
Deep down, I feel Religion is a gift. If you truely believe in a Religion, then you can live your life without fear of dying. You believe that there is something after, and that death wont end it.
The thought of an afterlife drives me crazy. It even makes me concider ending my life early, just to see what lies beyond. I have never actually attempted such a thing, but the curiosity drives me crazy.
Until I find a Religion that I truely believe in, I am not safe.
In conclusion, I feel a Religion is the best thing you can have. It gives you something to believe in, something to answer all the big questions. I find flaws in every Religion - but I wish I didn't.
